The Story

About Lola White

Lola White is a neo-soul songwriter, recording artist, and cultural critic whose work lives at the intersection of memory, desire, and consequence. Her catalog — from the wry confrontation of Why She In Your DM to the slow-burn grief of The House We Left Behind — treats heartbreak as evidence and the quiet hours after midnight as a kind of confessional. Each track is built around a live vocal take, a single guitar or keys line, and as little else as the song can stand.

This site is the listening room: a permanent home for Lola's records, liner notes, and the writing that surrounds them. It is built for late-night listeners, DJs, program directors, and anyone who still believes a song can carry the weight of a whole story. From the hero page you can step into the Listening Room, where every track plays in full with its lyrics beside it, and where radio and club DJs can put in an order for the booth through the dedicated request form.

The archive is maintained by Lola and a small studio team. New recordings, press features, and liner notes are added as they are finished — nothing is rushed, nothing is filler. If you are a programmer, a music director, a journalist, or a listener with a dedication in mind, you are in the right room. Welcome.
